Filming for the next installment in the Star Wars franchise Star Wars: Episode VIII has just wrapped up shooting in Crookhaven, Goleen, and the Brow Head peninsula in West Cork, but before the cast and crew left they had some warm words for the people of Ireland.
The producers of the movie (rumoured to be titled Star Wars: Episode VIII – Fall Of The Resistance)— complete with a green Star Wars logo — took out a print advert in the Irish Examiner:

Episode VIII filmed scenes in Cork and Donegal which set the scene of the the isolated planet where Luke Skywalker has been hiding on for decades. The Lucasfilm crew are off to continue the international shoot-including Croatia, Florida and Pinewood Studios in England.
“We have been captivated by the landscape of the Wild Atlantic Way, it has provided a spectacular backdrop for our story,” the ad says. “The tireless commitment of our Irish Crew, the enthusiasm and support of all the people of West Cork have made our Irish adventure one we will always treasure.”
It ends with: “Go mbeidh an fórsa leat! (May the force be with you!).”
