The Cairns Crocodiles Awards returns for 2025, representing the apex of creativity from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Cairns Crocodiles Awards celebrate every aspect of creativity, from the craft and quality of execution of audio production and filmmaking to the business results driven by inspired and insightful strategies.

This year, there are three new Crocodiles: Effectiveness, Inclusivity and Strategy.

Stand Up, Stand Out – Enter now.

The Effectiveness Crocodiles recognises the measurable impact of creative thinking on brand and business outcomes.

The category is open to all strategic thinkers and any campaign, channel, discipline, execution, or platform that has creatively tackled a business problem. As always, our hand-picked jury, comprised exclusively of marketers from across the region, will run the rule over all entries, including the new Effectiveness, Inclusivity and Strategy categories.

The Inclusivity Crocodile was designed in partnership with Inclusively Made.

This Crocodile will recognise the authentic representation of people with disabilities, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes in crew roles. The work can feature a person with a disability as the lead talent or more subtly integrate people with disabilities into support roles, aiming to normalise disability in mainstream settings.

The produced work should challenge negative misconceptions about disability by portraying it under the social model of disability, which focuses on removing barriers like attitudinal, physical or communication challenges. The work should avoid framing people with disabilities as inspirational subjects or focusing excessively on their disability.

Stand Up, Stand Out – Enter now.

The Strategy Crocodile recognises the most innovative strategic thinking that informs a campaign direction, gaining competitive advantage within a market category or carving out a new pathway.

This category is open to strategic thinkers across disciplines, platforms, channels or executions and will celebrate lucidity and clarity of thought in what is can be an otherwise complex and confusing world.

Last year’s Cairns Crocodiles Awards saw The Monkeys claim four gold Crocodiles for ‘Play It Safe’ and ‘England Bitter’ created for the Sydney Opera House and Victoria Bitter.

Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo claimed the inaugural golden Audio Craft Crocodile for the infectious ‘Live Delicious’ for CJ CheilJedang Corp.

VML Ogilvy Japan, meanwhile, won the gold Design Crocodile for the beautiful ‘Edible Literature’ for Kameya Yoshinaga.

VML Ogilvy Japan was onto another win with its work with Studio X on ‘Santa in the Sky’ for Coke. Ogilvy Singapore meanwhile, picked up two Gold Crocodiles for its ‘Skins For Skin’ for Vaseline in the Direct and Social and Influencer categories.
