As part of the big rollout of its new content services, Apple debuted a new short film for Apple TV+, featuring some of the most creative minds in film.

The short film entitled ‘Storytellers’ was shot by Academy Award-winning cinematographer/filmmaker Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki.

The film features iconic storytellers – Steven Spielberg, JJ Abrams, Sofia Coppola, Ron Howard, Octavia Spencer, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Damien Chazelle, M. Night Shyamalan and Hailee Steinfeld.

The five-minute-plus black-and-white spot reveals an intimate account of the art of storytelling and showcases the passion of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers.

In the film, Spielberg says: “Fear is good. At least for me it’s good. Fear of failure is a kind of octane that keeps me wanting to stand on the edge of the abyss but at the same time not plunge to my career death.”

Apple’s senior VP of internet software and services, Eddy Cue, in a new post for Apple wrote: “We’re honored that the absolute best lineup of storytellers in the world — both in front of and behind the camera — are coming to Apple TV+.

“Apple TV+ will be home to some of the highest quality original storytelling that TV and movie lovers have seen yet.”
