Ben Shipley has joined the Spectrum Group as managing director.
Shipley joins the Spectrum Group with 15 years’ experience in communications and digital strategy. In his new role he will focus on growing the business and building on the group’s commitment to integrated communications. This will service increased demand among clients and more broadly for combined content, creative, social and public relations.
An award-winning creative and digital director, Shipley brings new skills, ideas and approaches to the group. These will complement the excellent work already being done for clients in Australia and across the region.
Prior to joining Spectrum Group, Shipley spent almost six years with Hill+Knowlton Strategies. Employed as creative director he expanded his remit to lead the agency’s digital practice across Asia-Pacific and launched brand publishing joint venture, Colloquial. His client list during this time included Air New Zealand, Bacardi, Leo Pharma, LG, NSW Cancer Council, Tom Tom and Visa.
Shipley was part of the PR Lions Jury at the recent Festival of Creativity in Cannes, recognising the breadth and excellence of PR-led thinking from around the world.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Spectrum Group because we already have strong relationships with some of the best brands in tech,” said Shipley. “I’m keen to demonstrate how we can build on existing strengths to deliver integrated communications that have a measurable impact on businesses and their brands.”
