Southern Cross Austereo Appoints Will Allen As National TV Sales Chief

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced the appointment of Will Allen (pictured below) as its national head of TV sales.

In his new role, Allen will be responsible for developing and overseeing SCA’s television sales strategy to maximise revenue in the short, medium and long-term.

Allen’s extensive experience in broadcast media spans radio and TV, working at SCA and Australian Radio Network, as well as at media agencies.

His first role with SCA was in 2007 running its Brisbane sales function across radio and TV assets for its regional businesses.

After time in the media agency world, Allen returned to SCA in 2012 to become its head of sales in Brisbane. He will continue this role in addition to his new role, and will report to chief sales officer Brian Gallagher.

Gallagher said Allen brings “an unrivalled depth of skills and energy to his new role leading a key plank of our entertainment business”.

Commenting on his new role, Allen said: “I’m so excited to be leading a high-performing team that provides our partners audience consistency on top of our highly-regarded service offering.

“My focus from the outset will be in supporting our people, and working closely with Nathan, Hannah, and Niki in Sydney, Otto in Melbourne, Helen in Brisbane, Rob in Adelaide, and Noel in Perth to deliver on Brian Gallagher’s vision of connecting brands with the scale of our audience to deliver results for clients.”
