US rapper and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg is entering into the world of jingles.
Food delivery service Menulog has announced the musical icon has been given the reins to recreate the ‘Did Somebody Say Menulog’ jingle as part of an upcoming campaign.
“We know our original ‘Did Somebody Say Menulog’ jingle is a bit of an opinion-divider and it led to many a conversation, as people enjoyed their favourite meals,” said Just Eat (Menulog’s parent company) CMO Susan O’Brien.
“As much as we love it, what better way to step things up a notch than to get the help of a global legend? Snoop answered our call and created a version of the song that got us all smiling. We love that he’s taken something synonymous with the Menulog brand and made it personal to him.”
The campaign is set to be released on June 7.
“While Australians will have to wait to see the full version, we’re excited to be able to launch the first piece of creative, particularly at a time when Australians can use a bit of entertainment from local brands,” said company marketing director ANZ Simon Cheng.
“Did Somebody Say Menulog will complement a suite of other creative in-market, which focuses on continued support for local restaurants.”
The new global campaign will launch in seven markets for a year in every territory, across TV, OOH, DOOH, Social and Radio.
