Sky News Australia will be live from Washington tomorrow, Thursday 21 January from 4am (EST), as Joe Biden is inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States.
In a statement, Sky News said it will be the “only Australian television network” with a devoted location on the National Mall in Washington for the duration of Inauguration Week.
Sky News Australia’s Washington correspondent, Annelise Nielsen, will join the coverage live from Washington DC at 6am (EST) with Sky News anchor Peter Stefanovic from the Sky News Australia studio for First Edition: Inauguration Day.
The program will continue rolling coverage of events with Stefanovic and Nielsen providing analysis throughout the morning.
Inauguration Day coverage is set to conclude what has been one of the most publicised and divided US Elections in its history. Outgoing and twice impeached President Donald Trump said he will not attend the inauguration, marking a dramatic conclusion to his four years in charge.
