Shopper Media Group Appoints New National Sales Director

Digital Out-Of-Home intelligent media business, Shopper Media Group, continues to make noise in the market with new National Sales Director Grant Kirkby taking the reins. This follows the recent announcement of a new research data division, Shopper Data Group.

Shopper Media Group CEO Ben Walker said, “Shopper Media Group has enjoyed an impressive growth trajectory over the past 18 months with our focus on providing premium service and support to shopping centres and advertisers.

“It’s our commitment to service coupled with our high-tech Smartlite digital panels that makes us the benchmark of excellence in the retail out-of-home industry.”

Shopper Media Group announced the appointment of Grant Kirkby back in May, and after a record six months gardening leave he has finally joined to lead the national sales team.

Walker said with more than 10 years of experience in out-of-home advertising and agency involvement, Kirkby brings an intimate knowledge of industry landscapes, strong professional relationships and sales leadership to that will continue to drive the great work we are doing.

Kirkby’s arrival coincides with launch of the new research data division, Shopper Data Group.  The division was established to streamline the delivery of genuine consumer insights from within the retail environment to shopping centres and advertisers.

“Brands and companies want to know how and why consumers make certain purchasing decisions, and Shopper Data Group is able to ask those questions as close to, if not during, the actual decision making process with our intelligent WiFi capabilities,” Walker said.

Rebecca Galvin has been appointed as manager, Special Projects to work with Grant Kirkby in facilitating key research projects for advertisers.  She is responsible for driving technology development and strategic innovation, and will also work with shopping centres to build richer engagement with their customers.

Galvin joins the company with extensive experience in technology development and business consulting having worked in the banking, government and telco sectors.

“We have been able to assemble an experienced team of people that are passionate about our business because they know they are working with the most technologically advanced digital panels in the retail environment. Our national network of Smartlites provide unparalleled marketing influence in shopping centre advertising with our HD Screens, beacon technology and ability to survey ‘consumers on the go’ to discover want they want,” added Walker.
