New Australian fashion label JUNI, founded by Gold Coast entrepreneur and creator Ellie Watson, has launched its brand on a global scale thanks to a billboard collaboration with Shopify.
JUNI billboards have been unveiled in L.A. and Watson’s hometown on the Gold Coast as part of a campaign showcasing local talent utilising the Shopify platform to sell globally.
JUNI, along with its childrenswear line JUNI Junior, recently launched its debut SS24 collection, Fleur. Watson has been overwhelmed by the initial response – with many pieces in the collection selling out instantly.
“The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. A month ago we launched JUNI – after nearly two years in the making – and now, seeing our brand and vision come to life on billboards in L.A. is just surreal. We’re beyond proud to partner with Shopify on this campaign,” said Watson.
“We’re excited to partner with Ellie as she takes JUNI global, inspiring entrepreneurs to seize the power of global expansion. JUNI’s journey from Australia to Los Angeles and beyond highlights how Shopify’s cross-border tools empower businesses to overcome international challenges and accelerate growth,” said Shaun Broughton, managing director (APAC) at Shopify.
“For JUNI’s debut collection for SS24, we wanted to lean into all things spring; with flower graphics and floral prints, floaty airy dresses, and dainty and feminine details. We love how our campaign imagery contrasts with the bold billboard design,” said Watson.
Since 2017, Watson has been involved in the e-commerce landscape as the founder of The Wholesome Store, a conscious online concept store for everyday goods.
“What started as a few simple designs on our concept store, has over the years snowballed into us creating seasonal collections for women and little ones alongside a full-time design team. It was time that the designs formed their own standalone brand, and that’s how JUNI and JUNI Junior came to be,” she added.
JUNI’s SS24 collection, Fleur, has launched in AU sizes 6-18 for women and up to six years for children. It is now available locally and internationally.
