SCA chief content officer, Dave Cameron, has today announced two senior promotions in the content team.

Sonder Novak-Booth, currently executive producer of Hit Network’s Carrie and Tommy Drive show, has been promoted to a new role as content director of national shows.

Novak-Booth will work closely with Cameron, overseeing the strategic content direction, audience growth and client integration of SCA’s national shows, talent, and teams, which include Carrie and Tommy, and Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield.

Mickey Maher (featured image), who is currently SCA’s head of music across the Hit and Triple M networks, has been announced as new provincial group content director.

He will work closely with the local content directors in SCA’s Gold Coast, Newcastle, Hobart, and Canberra markets.

“Mickey has been instrumental in the successful content relaunch of SEA FM back on the Gold Coast, and prior to his current music role was highly successful as head of regional content for SCA,” said Cameron.

“He has and continues to do a fantastic job as head of music and I’m delighted that Mickey is taking on this new, important role for Hit and Triple M in these key markets.”

Cameron added: “Sonder has a wealth of content experience over the last decade working with some of our biggest shows including The Fox Breakfast show, and most recently leading the charge on the Carrie and Tommy show.

“I know she will do an amazing job continuing to coach and develop our national premium shows and the development of show talent and teams.”

Novak-Booth said she was “thrilled” with her new role at SCA, and that for her, working in radio is “a privilege that I never take for granted”.

Maher added: “I am excited to be starting the year with this new opportunity and am looking forward to working closely with the teams to help shape the content offerings in our provincial markets.

“SCA has exceptionally talented people working in these areas and the content they are producing is second to none. 2022 is shaping up to be a big year for us and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Both appointments are effective immediately, and recruitment for the Carrie and Tommy show executive producer role will commence soon.
