Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) has announced the appointment of Andrew Mudgway as its national sales manager for TV and digital.
Mudgway joins SBS from Fairfax Media, where he was responsible for the publisher’s national digital and print sales team.
He brings more than 25 years’ experience to SBS, having also held positions at IPG Mediabrands, Southern Cross Austereo and Omnicom.
Reporting to the director of SBS Media, Adam Sadler, Mudgway will oversee the broadcaster’s national sales team, develop and manage SBS’s sales strategy, and strengthen the organisation’s sales proposition and client relationships.
Sadler said: “Andrew is highly respected in the industry, with experience leading high-performing teams at some of the biggest media organisations in Australia.
“As SBS Media continues to explore new ways to connect with Australia’s diverse communities, Andrew will play a key role in aligning our commercial activities with SBS’s broader strategic objectives.”
Commenting on his appointment, Mudgway said: “SBS is Australia’s most diverse media organisation with a truly national audience.

Mudgway commences his new role on Monday 22 October.
