Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has lambasted Woman’s Day for posting “silly, trash, idiotic, mindless bullshit” after yet another rumour made the front cover and took up several pages in the latest issue.

Taking to Instagram last night, Armytage urged the “sensible women of Australia” to not pay $4.99 for the “tripe” produced by the magazine, and instead boycott the publication.

What? The Hewitts aren’t getting divorced for the 5-millionth time this week? Kate Middleton isn’t expecting her 12-thousandth baby? So, it must be a @sunriseon7 feud to take up several pages during the quiet-January-period. Silly. Trash. Idiotic. Mindless. Bullshit. Sensible women of Australia, I beg of you NOT to part with $4.99 for this tripe!!! (& y’all know an “anonymous source” is code for “made up in the magazine’s office”!!) The only war I’m involved in, is trying to get Banjo into a bath! And I packed my bags because……..I went on holiday! ??? See you Monday morning… I missed you all! ?

It follows on from co-host David ‘Kochie’ Koch’s smackdown of the same magazine for publishing rumours of tension in the breakfast line-up last week.

“Total fabrication. Fake News at its worst,” Kochie wrote on Twitter. “Love working with [my] team.”

@WomansDayAus Total fabrication. Fake News at its worst. Can I be any clearer. 13 years as Australia’s #1 at brekky…love working with team https://t.co/LVBWAvQn8L

The latest Woman’s Day claims that Seven’s Sunrise crew are at war with each other, and that Armytage is fearful of being fired.

“Once heralded a saviour for helping resurrect Sunrise, Samantha Armytage went into hiding last week – checking into a health retreat in Queensland – as rumours again surfaced she could be facing the axe,” the article stated.

The magazine’s “Seven insider” also commented, adding, “There’s a whisper that Kochie [David Koch] has gone to the top dogs and told them they need to really consider Sunrise’s Monday to Friday line-up.

“He and Sam have never really bonded, and the bosses have already secretly lined up Eddie [Edwina Bartholomew] to step up if Sam gets the chop. There’s going to be blood on the studio floor this year. No one is safe.”

Sunrise is part of the Seven West Media family, which owns Woman’s Day rival New Idea. The Sunrise crew return to their regular breakfast slot from Monday.
