Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne has promoted Alex Speakman (left) to the role of executive planning Director and Joe Heath (right) as planning director.
Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne managing director, Mark Cochrane says: “Alex has not just delivered for the agency since opening our doors in Melbourne, but also nationally for over seven years. Every day he inspires us to be more insightful, more radical and more innovative in our strategic thinking, so we’re really excited he’s taking on a greater leadership role within the company”.
Joe Heath joins from CHE Proximity where he was director of innovation. Prior to that he enjoyed a globally revered career working in planning departments at Clemenger BBDO, AMV BBDO London and BBH London.
The appointment further strengthens the agency’s integrated developers and makers model through deeper specialist strategic thinking in brand, retail digital, social and innovation planning, as well as CX, data and CRM planning in collaboration with MercerBell.
Speakman said, “We look forward to further strengthening our development approach. Of course, it will continue to evolve as we further integrate strategic disciplines across our clients’ businesses, but we believe this multi-skilled team working as one will help deliver impossible outcomes for our clients, and that’s what we are most excited about”.
