Just when we thought we’d heard it all about Karl, Richard Reid has dropped a juicy bit of gossip about the former Today host, and we don’t think karl will be happy about it.
Reid, a former entertainment reporter on the Today, revealed the gossip about Karl to his I’m a Celeb campmate, Angie Kent.
Reid revealed on the show: “So I go into the hair room, and this guy looks up and he’s kinda like balding.
“It was Karl Stefanovic without his spray-on hair.”
“He has spray-on hair?” replied Kent.
Reid continued: “Yep, and then he went away and got hair plugs.
“He had one of those six-week vacations and came back with (made gestures for hair plugs).
“And he still used the spray until it filled in”.
This isn’t the first time rumours have surfaced about the state of Stefanovic’s hair.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported in 2017 that Stefanovic “bowed to the pressure to maintain his beloved boyish looks and underwent a subtle hair transplant to hide thinning at the front and top of his head a few years ago”.
After several months of increasing pressure, Stefanovic was sensationally booted from the troubled Channel 9 breakfast program late last year.
A statement at the time from news director Darren Wick read: “Nine and Karl Stefanovic have agreed it is time for him to step off the Today show.
“Karl remains on contract with the network and will continue to host (his other show) This Time Next Year”.
