Prospective car owners are turning to Pinterest for their ‘auto inspiration’, the company has revealed.
While topics such as travel, health and wellness, home renovations and style are still among the most popular on Pinterest, there has been a recent spike in car-related activity on the platform.
There are now over 6 million people on Pinterest engaging with car-related ideas and research from Oracle Data Cloud shows these users are 28 per cent more likely to buy a new car within 90 days of a release.
Data shows 62 per cent of weekly Pinterest users searching for auto ideas make a purchase based on the content and brands they had seen on the platform, while 57 per cent discovered auto-related products in their path to purchase.
In Australia alone, searches for ‘cars’ is up over 30 per cent.
