Reload Media Australia has announced that Alexandra Gannon will be stepping up to managing director from her previous role as general manager.
The appointment comes in response to rapid expansion over the last year, with Gannon looking to continue the upward trajectory of the Reload Media business across Australia and New Zealand.
Reload Media’s growth has been driven by an ongoing focus on client success at the core of the agency’s offering, with a portfolio of new account wins and a focus on retaining clients long-term, including the likes of Sealy, Yamaha, Go-To, L’Occitane and TerryWhite Chemmart.
Reload Media also employs a 75 per cent female workforce, and in contrast to many in the industry, this ratio is also represented at leadership levels too.
Gannon said: “We’ve had a huge couple of years in terms of team growth, client wins and retention of key accounts, with our business up over 40 per cent year on year, I’m excited about continuing that success over the coming years.”
Outgoing managing director, Craig Somerville, who has been MD since 2016, will remain managing director of Reload Media’s parent company, The Reload Group.
Somerville said: “For those who have worked with Reload Media over the last decade, they’ll know that Alex’s vision and dedication to Reload Media is a key driver of what makes us successful.
“This move makes official what most of our clients and team already know.”
Gannon added: “It’s a privilege to have the support of the board and the opportunity to take on this new role and responsibility. I can’t wait to grow Reload Media even further over the coming years,
“We’re passionate about being an employer of choice for everyone and creating a culture where people enjoy what they do and can create satisfying long careers with us.
“My journey is a testament to that, and the fact that eleven years after joining as an account manager I’m in the position where I can be appointed managing director says a lot about what Reload does and the culture we have.”
