Red Bull Launches Second FOCUS Series

Red Bull has launched its second series of FOCUS, a TV series that looks into the lives of top Aussie athletes.

The first episode was screened last night at the Chauvel Cinema in Sydney with a number of athletes dotted among the audience.

The six-part series will be played on Red Bull TV and Fox Sports, with Fox Sports journo Patrick Stack opening the proceedings.

“What Red Bull TV have done, they’ve brought together absolute world class athletes and created an insight into what it’s like for them day to day,” said Stack.

“They might not necessarily be from the same field or the same sport, but they generally have a common thread, that might be glory, that might be innovation.”

The series was produced by Red Bull House Media in conjunction with Milkmoney Films and narrated by skateboarder Corbin Harris.

Episode one featured Aussie yachtsman Jimmy Spithill and Paralympian Kelly Cartwright. The common theme was ‘Belief’. The full episode will be available on Red Bull TV from Friday, January 30.

The second episode features Parkour enthusiast Ryan Doyle and triathlete Courtney Atkinson, airing on February 6. The common thread between these two is ‘Progression’.

Episode three sees skateboarder Ryan Sheckler come together with pilot Hannes Arch. The theme is ‘Evolution’ and goes to air February 13.

The fourth episode in the series features rock climber Sasha DiGiulian and hanggliding champ Jon Durand. The theme is ‘Personal Best’ and airs February 20.

Big wave surfer Mark Mathews stars alongside cyclist Danny MacAskill in Episode five, with the theme of ‘Innovation’, airing on February 27.

The final episode features the theme ‘Glory’ and stars racing driver Daniel Ricciardo and canoeing champion Jessica Fox. It airs March 6.
