Red Agency Wins Vivid Sydney Account

In news that’s sure to light up the staff at Red Agency, the PR and experiential company has secured the PR account for Sydney’s light celebration festival, Vivid Sydney.

The appointment comes from the state’s tourist agency, Destination NSW, and will see Red Agency providing strategic communications and PR for the winter festival.

M&C Saatchi’s Bang PR had held the account for the past two years. B&T has contacted M&C Saatchi for further comment.

The festival is a celebration of lights, music and ideas and will be held in Sydney May 27 to June 18.

It’s a major event in Sydney, said Aaron Crowther, general manager at Red Agency.

“Each year it gets bigger and better and we are looking forward to working closely with Destination NSW to ensure this year grows even better. There is both a strategic and creative remit with the brief, so we are incredibly proud to have been awarded such a prestigious, culturally-significant piece of work.”

“Red Agency had a compelling case,” put in Sandra Chipchase, CEO of Destination NSW and executive producer of Vivid. “It is clear they share our vision and ambition for Vivid Sydney. We expect the 2016 Vivid Sydney Festival to be our biggest and brightest yet, and we are excited to be partnering with such an impressive team.”
