Red Agency Expands Health Leadership Team

Havas Group’s Red Agency has announced it has bolstered its health division with two senior appointments.

Sue Cook has been appointed practice head for health. She has over three decades of experience in the sector in Australia, the Asia Pacific and the UK.

Cook has led healthcare practices within agencies in Sydney and London, and worked with a wide range of pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients including Amgen, GSK, Lilly, Novartis, Pfizer and Shire.

She also has a journalism background, serving as national medical writer for The Australian and previously as a medical reporter at the former Melbourne Herald newspaper.

In addition to her role of account director at Red Agency, Rachel Barry will also take on a broader remit as group account director of healthcare for Havas Australia.

Within her group role, Barry will be working closely with the global Havas Health & You network, which includes Havas Lynx. She will be responsible for linking Havas’ global, regional and local clients with the right health communications solution.

Red Agency Sydney executive director Jackie Crossman said: “These strategic senior appointments are testament to our health team’s efforts in recent months to fuel growth with new and existing clients in this specialist area.

“Our health capability draws on our award-winning creative and strategy, integrated offering and health expertise to develop powerful stories and campaigns to increase health understanding and empathy, care and outcomes.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Sue to the team, as she provides the necessary knowledge and expertise to help us unlock even bigger opportunities both locally and globally.

“It’s also exciting to promote Rachel to a group role after three years here, and she will play an important part in helping grow our fabulous, burgeoning healthcare team both at Red Agency and Havas Australia.”

Both appointments are effective immediately as part of the Red Agency’s focus in growing its healthcare footprint in pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter, consumer health and wellness and healthcare technology.
