The third radio ratings survey is out for 2018, and B&T has once again provided you with a comprehensive analysis of which stations and shows were up, and which were down.

It seems the recently aired troubles of 2Day FM’s Em Rusciano and her brekkie team of Ed Kavalee and Grant Denyer (you can read all about them on B&T here, here, here, here, and here) have actually helped the show increase its market share by 0.5 per cent compared to the previous survey. This is on the back of two straight surveys of growth, not to mention.

Elsewhere in Sydney, Australian Radio Network’s WSFM has found itself back in positive territory after two straight market share drops in the first two surveys of 2018.

Meanwhile, ARN’s new brekkie duo for 2018, Jase & PJ, again failed to find any solid traction with listeners, with the show’s market share falling to a measly 4.8 per cent.

SYDNEY

No surprises who took the cake in Sydney, with Macquarie’s 2GB increasing its overall market share by 1.2 per cent to 12.7 per cent.

ARN’s WSFM is back in the winner’s circle with 9.7 per cent market share (up 1.3 per cent), pushing sister station KIIS 1065 into third with 8.8 per cent (down 0.7 per cent).

MELBOURNE

Macquarie’s 3AW has continued its winning ways in Victoria’s capital, growing its overall market share by 0.7 per cent to 14.4 per cent.

ARN’s GOLD 104.3 has moved into the top three with a 0.6 per cent market share increase to 10.6 per cent, relegating Fox FM to third. The SCA station suffered a 0.9 per cent ratings decline to 10.5 per cent.
