Quiip Celebrates 9th Birthday With New Business Wins

Australian social media and online community management specialist Quiip has marked its ninth birthday in celebratory fashion, announcing new business wins and a new free support offering to help non-profit and purpose driven organisations navigate the social media landscape.

Quiip (team photo, featured image) kicks off its tenth year with new business wins including SBS and Heart Foundation as well as the expansion of its partnership with Vic Responsible Gambling Foundation.

The SBS win comes on the back of support Quiip delivered the broadcaster during this year’s Federal Government election.

The appointment will see Quiip deliver ongoing out-of-hours support for SBS’ social media channels, which reach a combined audience of three million.

Quiip will provide a range of services to its new clients, including business and out-of-hours social media and community management and consulting; social media training and mentoring, suicide, mental health and critical escalation support and engagement; crisis communications; and risk planning.

The launch of Quiip’s Pro-Bono Purpose Project (PPP) will see it offer its substantial expertise directly to deserving non-profit and purpose-driven organisations in need of social media support.

Successful applicants will receive social media support weekly for eight weeks, and follow-on social media advice from Quiip tailored for their channels, empowering the organisation to take social media management into their own hands.

Quiip COE, Alison Michalk said: “Quiip is honoured to be partnering with such wonderful new clients.

“We also know our expertise is our best asset and we’re keen to share it for the betterment of the industry and organisations doing valuable work on important causes.

“We are privileged to offer our expertise to support deserving organisations, so they can support Australians in need.”

The first PPP recipient is Beddown, which provides pop up accommodation solutions to vulnerable and homeless Australians sleeping rough.

Beddown founder, Norm McGillivray said: “Quiip has a great pedigree and experience working with some great brands across Australia, so to be chosen as their first Pro-Bono Purpose Project is awesome.

“I am both grateful and excited to be working with the team at Quiip on this project and to bring greater awareness to Australia of what we are looking to do with Beddown.”
