Quantcast Announces Sonal Patel As Managing Director For SEA

Audience intelligence and measurement company Quantcast today announced the appointment of Sonal Patel to the newly created role of managing director of South East Asia (SEA).
Based in Quantcast’s Singapore office, Patel will lead the company’s SEA operations reporting directly to Quantcast’s Asia Pacific managing director, Andrew Double.
Sonal’s 17-year career spans a wide spectrum of the advertising and media industry. She was most recently president of programmatic services and product at Dentsu Aegis Network APAC and prior to this she held a number of senior positions at AppNexus, Carousell, Google, Twitter, Salesforce, Adgile, and Yahoo!.
As part of Quantcast’s continued investment in the region, the company is also announcing a number of additional key hires.
- Relocating to Singapore from Quantcast’s Melbourne office, Daniel O’Connor has been promoted to sales director
- Stephen Rhodes joins Quantcast as agency partner from location data company Blis where he was recently group head
- Antoinette Patterson also joins as client partner from SpotX where she led sales across Asia
- Adding to the roster of machine learning expertise will be Roshni Shivaramakrishnan who joins on as a technical account manager from Essence
Commenting on the news, Andrew Double, managing director of Quantcast APAC, said the appointments reflected the business’ focus on Asia as a key area of expansion in 2020.
“Quantcast is radically simplifying advertising on the open internet, enabling brands to successfully understand and engage audiences that have previously been hard to reach. According to the OECD, economic growth in Southeast Asia is set to outpace that of Europe and the US in the coming years. This presents a huge opportunity for brands to tap into this increasingly wealthy and connected audience through relevant online advertising,” Double said.
“The additions to our team announced today will be central to helping more brands in the region access the potential of Quantcast’s unique machine learning technology and first-party data to help grow their businesses.”
Quantcast managing director of SEA Sonal Patel said she was excited to be joining the team in Singapore.
“Quantcast has seen significant growth in Southeast Asia in recent years. I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue the great work the team is doing and lead this next phase of growth within such a progessive and successful organisation. My appointment, and those of the other new team members continues the amazing momentum of Quantcast in the region into 2020 and beyond,” Patel said.
Quantcast’s Singapore commercial operations first started in April 2018 and its Asia Pacific customers include Accor, Citibank, Hilton, Jetstar, Starhub and Uniqlo amongst others.
