Pulse Collective Announces Senior Appointments

Pulse Collective has announced the promotion of veteran strategist Kirsty Angus (far right) to General Manager coinciding with the appointment of Ben Pearce as Head of Creative and Innovation.

Lauren Fried (left), Ben Pearce (middle) and Kirsty Angus (right).

Angus joined the full-service marketing and communications agency for entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses earlier this year and has already made a number of sweeping changes.

“When I first interviewed Kirsty and she reversed it and started interviewing me, I knew I was in for a ride. Kirsty is no-nonsense, passionate and loves creating brilliant ideas. Very quickly she has become a critical part of the Pulse team,” says Pulse Collective Founder and Managing Director, Lauren Fried.

Angus now leads the operations of the agency while still driving the strategic output for Pulse Collective’s clients.

“Pulse Collective is a forward-thinking, agile agency, run by a tight team of people who are bloody nice and bloody smart,” said Angus. “I’m excited about working closely with Lauren to achieve her vision for the business and our entrepreneurial clients.”

She has more than 12 years’ experience both here and abroad, working at agencies as diverse as Core, JWT, Leo Burnett, TBWA, AMV BBDO, Liquid Ideas PR and the UK’s ‘Digital Agency of the Decade’, Dare Digital.

Meanwhile, Pearce has won over 50 creative and effectiveness awards across categories as diverse as telecommunications, automotive, FMCG, QSR, and financial services. He has been the recipient of 4 Grand Prix, a rare bullet from Gunn and inducted into the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

“Ben has a strong purpose for everything he does, he’s a combination of creator, thinker and a calm force. I noticed pretty quickly that he spoke the language of our entrepreneurial clients, and recognises advertising is not always the solution to business growth,” says Lauren. “There’s no better reward in our industry than to deliver the kind of ideas that drive real business growth – however those ideas manifest.” said Pearce.

“I’m really looking forward to getting in with our clients at the ground level and working closely with Lauren, Kirsty and the incredibly talented team to help shape these kinds of ideas, which often sit outside of the boundaries of a standard advertising agency.”

This latest appointment is one of several recent senior hires to grow Pulse Collective’s expert offering to clients.
