Mediacom’s Katherine “The Predator” Pochroj said: “It’s been hard core, with a real fear of getting punched in the face made easier by the bunch of industry legends I’m stepping into the ring with.”

Charlotte “The Poacher” Edwards shares the same opinion: “One of the hardest challenges I have ever taken on, made so worth it with the support of an amazing group and for such a brilliant cause”.

That Pitch2Punch helps fight anxiety and depression in support of beyondblue is not missed by Mediacom’s modestly monikered “Gorgeous” Greg Newman.

“I’ve done more crunches in the last month than in my entire life, but I’m really looking forward to walking out on the big night and raising some serious money for beyondblue,” he said.

Previous industry champion and virtuoso adland freelance art director Steve “The White Walker” Thurlby said: “Pitch2Punch was one of the best experiences of my life. The training and focus had an amazing effect on my life. And suffice to say, the actual fight night was incredible. I only wish I’d started it 20 years ago.”

Pitch2Punch creator Gareth Eden-Styche said the initiative has raised over $50,000 for beyondblue to date, and hopefully given 100 industry champions and their supporters an experience they’ll never forget.

“This year’s competitors are some of the best we’ve ever had, so expect more of the same. And then perhaps, expect a bit more,” he said.

As always, amazing auction and raffle items are up for grabs with a pumping atmosphere in a fabulous location. And with red carpet arrivals and after party hosted by Nova, you won’t want to be anywhere else.
