People Not Lovin’ Macca’s With One Store’s Ban On Shirtless-Ness And Barefeet

McDonald’s has come under fire after one store in North Melbourne apparently banned people from service who weren’t wearing shirts or shoes.

News Corp’s Herald Sun report the sign at its Oak Park outlet initially said ‘no shirt, no shoes, no service’ but had softened the message after inquiries.

B&T has contacted McDonald’s in Australia for further comment about the situation, and we’re currently awaiting a response.

The complaints about the ban have risen mainly due to some Macca’s ads that show shirtless and barefoot people chowing down on some of the burgers and shakes, contradictory to the ban.

One customer told the Herald Sun McDonald’s is becoming “over-sensitive”.

The ads screenshotted in various publications appear to be from Macca’s ‘Do Summer’ campaign from 2012, created by DDB Melbourne.
