IPG Mediabrands’ newly remodelled data, insights and technology business Cadreon has appointed Patrick Darcy as the agency’s managing director. Darcy is the first senior appointment at Cadreon since the new agency was launched from a merger of Cadreon with Mediabrands’ former INSIGHTS AND analytics business Anomaly.
Darcy is a highly respected digital and commercial executive who is currently commercial director of data-driven marketing company RadiumOne. He has been with RadiumOne since October 2014 and before that was director of programmatic trading at Mi9 and previously Mi9’s group sales manager and ad exchange lead.
Darren Stein, CEO of Cadreon, said Darcy’s skills and experience were a special and very deliberate fit within the design of Cadreon’s future senior leadership team. “We are presenting clients with a complete approach to creating and activating insight-led, personalised communications across digital media channels. We’re introducing seamless connectivity of digital consumer analytics and insights to implementation and Pat’s experience and skills will be central to developing our business.”
IPG Mediabrands announced the creation of the new Cadreon at the end of August this year. Darren Stein was appointed CEO of the new business after formerly leading Anomaly. Cadreon’s previous managing director Jessica White is currently preparing to move to a senior role within the group in the USA.
Cadreon has a staff of 90 people and its main offices in Sydney.
Pat Darcy said of his appointment: “Mediabrands and Cadreon are uniquely positioned with their capabilities to demonstrate the impact of combining the key ingredients of data, human instinct and insights with automated media buying, all working in harmony. We’re in the midst of huge change in our industry and I’m really excited to be joining a business brave enough to redefine the way we use technology and automation.”
