PageUp CEO Karen Cariss Transitioning To Chair Of The Board

PageUp People has announced its founder and major shareholder, Karen Cariss, will be transitioning on 1st July from her current role as CEO into the role of chair of the board, over two decades after launching the company.

Cariss will be succeeded in the role of CEO by current CFO and COO, Mark Rice, who has been a member of PageUp’s leadership team since 2012.

The transition is a long-standing arrangement with joint shareholders, Battery Ventures, to allow Cariss to devote more time to her three children.

Cariss commented: “I am so proud of where we are today and all that we’ve achieved. We’ve gone global. We’ve built a world-class team of 200 diverse and talented people.

“We’ve helped hundreds of customers improve the way they recruit and manage talent. And we’ve connected millions of people with their dream jobs.

“Mark has been a trusted partner and a pivotal contributor to our success since he joined seven years ago. I have every confidence in his ability to take the business to the next level.”

Rice said: “I am grateful to Karen and the Board for this incredible opportunity. PageUp is at an exciting stage. There is real momentum as employers seek a competitive edge in attracting and retaining the best talent. I look forward to working with my leadership colleagues and our world-class teams around the world to continue developing best in class products and services for our customers.”
