To celebrate the release of ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2’, Subaru Australia has launched its ‘Off the Leash Offers’ event.
The integrated campaign features the hero characters from the movie alongside Subaru’s hero range of vehicles.
Each lovable pet is cast to promote the Subaru model that best reflects their character – from the leader of the pack Max as champion of the range, to Gidget the ‘all frills, all thrills’ Subaru XV, to the straight-talking Daisy, who calls a great deal when she sees one, for the Subaru Impreza.
Subaru Australia general manager Amanda Leaney said: “Pets 2 is such a fun, family movie, with exactly the type of characters we at Subaru love.
“Inspiring Australian’s to get more out of life is at the heart of everything we do. Our partnership with Pets 2 is just one example of that commitment.”
Working with NBC Universal and content agency P2, the integrated campaign has been brought to life across TV, cinema, online video and radio.
P2 director of content & strategy David Flanagan commented: “Captivating car buyers with instantly adorable characters and a cracking range of Subaru models was a case of casting the right car with the right character.
“As Amanda outlined, Subaru is all about getting more out of life, and we believe this campaign is a testament to exactly that.”
Universal Pictures Australia marketing director Suzanne Stretton-Brown concludes: “Universal Pictures Australia is thrilled to be partnering with Subaru for the release of The Secret Life of Pets 2.
“The integrated campaign provides a unique and clever way to match the fun of our lovable pets characters and the adventurous spirit of the Subaru brand.”
