OpenAgent Announce New Home Seller’s Choice Platinum Awards

OpenAgent.com.au, a top Australian real estate agent comparison site, has today announced the winners of its first Home Sellers Choice Platinum Awards, which recognises the top real estate agents who have received the most positive reviews by home sellers in each state.

This is part of OpenAgent’s Home Sellers Choice Awards 2016 program, which is now in its second year running.

These awards are the only accolades in Australia which are based purely on reviews by home sellers, which celebrate outstanding agents who have sold their property and delivered exceptional customer service. The new Platinum Awards have been introduced to award the real estate agents who have at least five positive reviews and no negative reviews following the sale of a home through OpenAgent.

“The Platinum Awards have been launched following the success of OpenAgent’s Home Seller’s Choice Awards in 2015, to acknowledge the top real estate agent from each state based on the most stellar reviews.

“All the awards under the Home Seller Choice Awards 2016, identify agents who do a great job from client reviews, to help build confidence with home sellers who are looking for agents they can trust with their biggest life investment,” said Marta Higuera, co-founder and co-CEO of Open Agent.

The winners of the Home Sellers Choice Platinum Awards for each state include:

  • NSW – Tim Ferguson – Macarthur Property Specialists – Campbelltown
  • VIC – Joe Mavrikos – hockingstuart Melton
  • QLD – Gisele George – RE/MAX Real Estate – Cairns
  •  SA – Nick Psarros – Ray White – Port Adelaide
  •  WA – Josh Brockhurst – Century 21 Team Brockhurst – Thornile

Joe Mavrikos, the national winner from Hockingstuart in Melton commented, “I am honoured to be awarded OpenAgent’s Home Sellers Choice Platinum Award for 2016. The team and I strive to offer the best value to our vendors who often have never sold a property before.

“This can make them wary, however thanks to OpenAgent, our vendors have complete transparency by it showcasing our sale records and customer reviews. This award reinforces our credibility and helps win the trust of locals looking to sell their property”.

In 2015, it was revealed that real estate agents in Australia were among the lowest ranked professions who were viewed as ethical and trustworthy*. This was based purely on people’s perceptions rather than reality. OpenAgent is helping to change perceptions, through the real estate agent comparison site and Home Sellers Choice Awards.

Following the 24 platinum winners being announced (top one in each state listed above), this year, 875 real estate agents nationally have been awarded OpenAgent’s Home Sellers Choice Awards 2016. This is based on real estate agents who have received at least one positive review with no negative reviews.
