Online Fashion Retailer Partners With Australia Post To Launch Weekend Delivery
Online fashion retailer, The Iconic, has announced the launch of Saturday deliveries.
In partnership with Australia Post’s courier service, StarTrack, The Iconic expands its portfolio of delivery options in direct response to a significant increase in Friday and Saturday customer orders, now some of the site’s most popular days to shop.
Since the beginning of the year, the company has observed a near 40 percent increase in site traffic on Fridays and a 50 percent spike on Saturdays. Furthermore, the e-tailer reports average order values are up 25 percent on the same days.
Adam Jacobs, The Iconic’s managing director and co-founder, said, “We are excited to work with our partners at Australia Post to make Saturdays a lot more stylish. Now if you need a new outfit for the weekend, it’s as easy as ordering by Saturday morning to have something you love delivered to wear that night – queues and fighting for parking at the local shopping center are a thing of the past.
“At The Iconic, we’re driven by ‘what’s next’. We’ve already won over fashion lovers with innovative three-hour delivery to Sydney and Melbourne, but the obvious trend of increased shopping leading up to the weekend inspired us to think up even more exciting ways to thrill our customers. Why wait until Monday for something you could wear this weekend?” said Jacobs.
According to Kelly Heintz, acting executive general manager, Parcel Services at Australia Post, “The Iconic has always been known as an innovator in the online fashion space, improving their customer experience through sophisticated delivery options. We’ve been working with The Iconic as its shipping partner since its launch in 2011 and have continued to improve our delivery solutions to suit their customers.
“We’re excited to help The Iconic go one step further with a new Saturday delivery service for their customers in Sydney provided by StarTrack Courier, perfect for time-critical fashion emergencies.”
The Iconic will also roll out Australian e-tail’s fastest and most convenient options for holiday season delivery, offering the vast majority of Australians the opportunity to receive free, same-day deliveries for all purchases up until Christmas Eve. Various options will be available to shoppers across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Specific delivery options will vary by location.
