Measurement leader, Marion McDonald, managing director, strategy and effectiveness, Ogilvy Public Relations (Ogilvy PR), Asia Pacific, has been awarded the distinguished Lifetime Fellowship by the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications (AMEC).

The award is in recognition of significant personal contribution to raising the profile of measurement and insights in public relations and communications while inspiring the next generation of leaders to raise the bar on effectiveness.

Commenting on her achievement, McDonald said: “Connecting public relations campaigns to proven business results is a personal passion of mine so I’m deeply honored to receive this Fellowship, and even more inspired to deliver award-winning results for Ogilvy clients in the future.”

Barry Leggetter, CEO, AMEC, said: “In creating this Fellowship, we set out to acknowledge and celebrate pioneers who have made outstanding contributions to the industry. Marion is a worthy recipient of our AMEC Lifetime Fellowship, demonstrating world-class ability in the area of effectiveness.”

AMEC is the leading body for communications research, media intelligence and insight for PR professionals. The Lifetime Fellowship was announced at AMEC’s Annual Meeting in London on December 10th, where top professionals gathered to celebrate the contributions made to the industry.
