Ogilvy Melbourne Expands Team Following New Business Wins

Following a raft of new business wins, Ogilvy Melbourne has announced several new senior hires, broadening the agency’s talent-base and skillset.

The new appointments include Danielle Chapman (pictured above middle) to the role of group account director leading the BMW and MINI accounts; Rebecca Heard (left) joins the agency as senior strategy planner; and Ryan Clayton (right) joins as senior art director.

In recent months, Ogilvy Melbourne has added Priceline, Lion, BP and The Melbourne Convention Bureau to its client roster, in addition to a number of Victorian Government projects.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Danielle Chapman’s category experience includes Tourism, Financial Services, Telecommunications and FMCG. She has worked with some of Australia’s biggest brands such as Peters, Cadbury, PZ Cussons, Garnier, George Weston Foods and National Foods.

Prior to joining Ogilvy, she held senior roles at Publicis Mojo, GPY&R and most recently at CHE/Proximity.

Becky Heard brings to the agency a wealth of local and international experience and knowledge in UX, Digital and CRM marketing strategy in both agency and client side. She’s been the lead planner on clients such as Nissan, Land Rover, Tourism Ireland, Welcome Break, JD Weatherspoon and Harper Collins both in the UK and in Australia.

Ryan Clayton joins Ogilvy from McCann Melbourne where he spent the last couple of years honing his skills with award-winning work for some of Australia’s most iconic brands including BIC, Metro, Nimble, KingGee, L’Oreal, WorkSafe and Tigerair.

Ogilvy Melbourne has also appointed three new creative teams and has bolstered its account service, digital, social and production departments further expanding the agency’s capabilities across all disciplines. The agency will also be announcing a new head of digital in the coming weeks.
