The Odds Are In! Karl Stefanovic In The Running For ABC Job!

The Odds Are In! Karl Stefanovic In The Running For ABC Job!

Those wags over at Sportsbet have opened betting on who’ll replace Michelle Guthrie as ABC managing director, with embattled Today show host Karl Stefanovic installed as a $251 outsider.

Malcom Turnbull is looking for a new gig and the former prime minister is $101 to get the nod.

Comedians Charlie Pickering and Tom Ballard, both $51 and Tom Gleeson ($71) have been touted as possible options by the bookmaker, along with Play School presenters Eddie Perfect ($61), Alex Papps ($76) and Justine Clarke ($81).

David Anderson, who will serve as acting managing director, is the $2.50 favourite.

“We love Karl and he’s been copping it a bit in the media of late. There’s suggestions he might be looking around for a new project, but Today wouldn’t be the same without him,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ella Zampatti.
