NRMA Insurance Launches Board Game About ‘Life Risks’ Via CHE Proximity

NRMA Insurance has launched a new boardgame through creative agency CHE Proximity, which it says is “based on Australia’s real-life risks”.

The game, ‘Help! The Game’, comes in a bid to “help Aussies understand the importance of insurance in an ordinarily low-involvement category,” according to NRMA.

“While Australians are aware of the risks we face from natural disasters, these extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and intense in our changing climate, with more severe bushfires, storms and floods expected across the country,” it said in a statement.

The gameplay of HELP! is focused on collecting assets and then protecting them with giant domes, because just like in Australia, you never know what is around the corner.

Because, according to NRMA, whether it’s your home, car, possessions or even your pets, “you risk having everything wiped off the board by floods, fires, theft, snakes, storms, tornados, and sometimes, bin chickens”.

HELP! The Game (RRP $25) goes on sale from 8 November in Kmart stores and e-commerce, as well as a dedicated online store (helpthegame.com.au).

A portion of proceeds from each sale will go towards supporting disaster relief and recovery for NRMA Insurance’s partner, Australian Red Cross.
