NOVA’s smooth Festival Of Chocolate Returns To The Rocks This September!



NOVA Entertainment will celebrate decadent desserts and chocolate designs from the best patisseries, ice-creameries, chocolatiers and restaurants when the smooth Festival of Chocolate returns to The Rocks on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.

For the first time Arnott’s Tim Tam will join the festival with the Arnott’s Tim Tam Temptation Tent allowing festival attendees to experience one of Australia’s favourite indulgences. Australian Chocolate Diamonds has also collaborated with Arnott’s Tim Tam to create a $20,000 two carat chocolate diamond ring that an attendee will win over the weekend.

smoothfm’s Cameron Daddo will host the Callebaut Test Kitchen featuring demonstrations from the industry’s most celebrated identities including Ambassadors respected patissier Adriano Zumbo and Shangri-La Hotel Sydney’s executive pastry Chef Anna Polyviou.

Executive chef of InterContinental Sydney Double Bay’s Julien Pouteau, executive chef InterContinental Sydney’s Tamas Pamer, La Renaissance pastry chef and 2012 MasterChef Australia runner up Julia Taylor, author of Wholesome Cook Martyna Angell, Black Star Pastry Chef Christopher Thé and Ananas Bar and Brasserie’s Executive Pastry Chef Riccardo Girardi will also appear in the test kitchen.

The Chocolatier’s Quarters will feature an Adriano Zumbo chocolate showpiece while award winning Chocolatier Jodie Van De Velden will craft a chocolate sculpture over the two day festival. The West Promenade Lawn will feature a pop up Garden Bar overlooking Sydney Harbour and smoothfm’s Melissa Doyle, Richard Wilkins, David Campbell and smoothfm 95.3’s breakfast and day time team will join festival attendees in the smooth star suite during the weekend.

In conjunction with major event partner Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, the smooth Festival of Chocolate will transform The Rocks into a chocolate oasis with top brands, The Rocks tenants and boutique chocolatiers, featured in over 60 stalls, allowing visitors to taste and indulge in all things chocolate.

Events like smooth Festival of Chocolate are important to Sydney’s booming visitor economy and showcase The Rocks as a premier foodie destination for tourists and Sydneysiders alike. The Rocks tenants will also offer further chocolate inspired experiences throughout September.
