NOVA Entertainment announced the appointment of two key sales roles in Sydney and Melbourne. Rob Sloan has been promoted to head of agency for the Sydney sales team, while Sloan’s move to Sydney has created an opportunity for Kim Kerton (pictured) to be appointed to the role of Melbourne agency sales manager.

The head of agency role is focused on leading the Sydney ggency team in the competitive Sydney market, to deliver on NOVA Entertainment’s strategic vision and commercial goals. Working closely with his leadership team and the Sydney sales director, Sloan’s position is key to strengthen the company’s market positioning of insight, innovation and ideation.

With over 13 years’ experience in sales and media, Sloan joined NOVA Entertainment in April 2006 as Melbourne account manager. Over his nine years with the company, Sloan has worked across both the Melbourne and Sydney markets in various management roles. In 2010 he was promoted to Sydney Agency Sales Manager and in 2013 Sloan returned to Melbourne in his most recent role as Agency Sales Manager.

Peter Charlton, NOVA Entertainment group sales director said, “We are really pleased that a genuine sales talent such as Rob has built a long, successful and progressive career with NOVA Entertainment by taking new responsibilities over many years between Melbourne and Sydney. His experience and knowledge of two major media markets and his hard working engaging style made him the obvious choice to lead our Sydney Agency business.”

Meanwhile, Kim Kerton has been appointed to the role of Melbourne Agency Sales Manager.

Kerton returned to NOVA Entertainment in June 2014 as Melbourne agency client executive. With over eight years’ media and sales experience, Kerton’s roles have included national integration project manager for Nova 91.9, agency account director for ARN Adelaide and agency account manager for Mediamotive (carsales.com.au) in Melbourne.

Charlton said, “Kim’s wide experience in radio and more recently digital make her a great addition to our Melbourne sales management team. She has made an extremely positive impact on our sales business very quickly and her well-deserved promotion will be no surprise to anybody who works closely with her.”

Sloan and Kerton will commence in their new roles in March 2015.
