It’s Not Too Late! RedBalloon Sends Reminder To Last Minute Shoppers Via APN Outdoor Elite Screens

Ultimate Edge Communications have enlisted APN Outdoor’s large format digital offering, Elite Screens, to bring RedBalloon’s last minute shopping message to life.

With over 3000 Santa-approved experiences on offer, RedBalloon sought Outdoor’s most progressive format to cement themselves as the easy, online location for the perfect last minute gift.

The seven day campaign targets 13 of the impressive digital billboards from APN Outdoor’s portfolio, using the technology to incorporate unique countdown messaging into their creative and impacting audiences across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

The campaign couldn’t have been more perfectly timed, with a recent APN Outdoor study finding that one in five people aged 18-39 don’t start their Christmas shopping until a few days before Christmas, with 27 per cent saying that advertising gives them ideas for gift giving.

Aleisha McCall, founder and managing director of Ultimate Edge Communications, stated, “It is fantastic to see RedBalloon in the Outdoor space in 2016.  The combination of radio, TV, digital and outdoor has allowed RedBalloon to reach our largest audience to date.

“We have specifically selected locations close to airports in the 7 days leading up to Christmas to act as a reminder and position RedBalloon as the perfect last minute gift provider with over 3000 Santa-approved experiences and gift vouchers that you can print from the comfort of your home.”

APN Outdoor’s general manager of sales, Mark Fairhurst, also praised the digital format, stating, “Digital Billboards have launched Outdoor into a new age of innovation.

“At APN Outdoor, we are committed to pioneering the digital Outdoor space, and this has been the case since we installed our first Elite Screen at Swanston Street in 2008.  With this technology comes fantastic new opportunities, not only for us, but for our advertisers and the RedBalloon campaign is a great example of this.”
