NIVEA MEN has signed as the as the presenting partner of E-League 2023 FIFA 23 esports tournament.
The E-League will see Australia and New Zealand’s best EA Sports FIFA players represent A-League clubs in a battle for the E-League Championship.
As the presenting partner, NIVEA MEN will support the continued growth of E-League in Australia in 2023, to help attract new talent and drive even greater participation in the hugely popular event.
Jeremy Nance, head of digital, Ecom & media for NIVEA Men said: “We’re thrilled to be part of the E-League action for 2023 and can’t wait to see the quality of the tournament this year. eSports is the world’s fastest growing spectator sport, with more than 47million online viewers for the FIFA21 challenge. We’ve seen uptake increase locally particularly over the past few years and are excited to support Aussie athletes into the series and bring such high calibre entertainment to fans.”
Last year, E-League 22 was Australia’s most watched FIFA esports event, with a unique cross platform audience of over 700,000. The tournament saw more than 460 participants enter the Path to E-League qualifying tournament, with the winners battling against the Australia and New Zealand’s best EA Sports FIFA players for a chance to play in the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs.
Dylan Campbell, representing Western United, won the tournament undefeated and went on to participate in the Global playoffs.
Ant Hearne, chief commercial officer of the A-Leagues commented: “Football fans don’t limit their love of the game to 90-minutes per week. They live and breathe football – and gaming is a significant part of their experience. We’re committed to eSports as a central part of our digital fan strategy and we will continue to partner with leaders like NIVEA MEN to evolve, develop and grow E-League.”
E-League 2023 will again kick off with the Path to E-League tournament followed by Finals throughout May – with each of the Finals broadcast live.
Last year’s tournament saw four weeks of live Finals and prize money for the first time, and E-league 2023 will be expanded to include more matches, players and prizes.
To celebrate the renewed partnership, NIVEA Men is giving three E-League fans the opportunity to go head-to-head with Campbell, for the chance to win $10,000.
Those up for the challenge – and potential bragging rights – need to purchase any NIVEA Men product between now and 7 April 2023 and upload their receipt to go into the draw to win a chance to take on the champ.
