Nine & News Corp’s Australian News Channel To Launch New Business Channel

Nine and  and Australian News Channel (ANC), a wholly owned subsidiary of News Corp Australia, have combined to create a dedicated 24 -hour business, personal finance and luxury lifestyle channel to reach all Australians.

The joint venture and new channel, Your Money, is set to redefine the way business and finance news and commentary is delivered in this country.

Once launched it will replace The Sky News Business channel.

In a first for Australian audiences Your Money will be broadcast on free to air on Channel 95 part of Nine’s digital spectrum and on its streaming service 9Now.

It will also be available on Foxtel Channel 601, as well as streaming service Foxtel Now and available to watch on the go, via tablets, smartphones, with the Foxtel app. The new business and consumer finance brand will also extend across a dedicated digital platform, with further details to be announced soon.

CEO of the joint venture company will be Kylie Merritt (left in photo) currently commercial director of ANC and David Ash (right) formerly of Nine digital will be head of digital for the joint venture, effective immediately.

Set to launch later this year, Your Money will be a 50/50 joint venture with its studio and operations based at the News Corp Australia’s National Business Hub at Holt Street, Surry Hills, Sydney.

Your Money will bring Australians engaging and in-depth programming to help make their money and investments work harder, with informative Australian content covering personal finance, luxury lifestyle, real estate, small and big business market moves and live coverage of the trading day.

Your Money will also contribute content across the joint venture partner platforms and their related parties.

The on-air line-up for the new channel will feature leading business journalists Brooke Corte and Ticky Fullerton from the former Sky News Business channel.  The full on-air line-up will be revealed later this year.

The JV will form its own management team, program and talent line-up.

The new Your Money channel will be based at the current Holt Street, Sydney studios.
