Nine has announced the launch of a TV News Internship at its Sydney headquarters, offering a chance for junior journalists and producers to experience working within the news sector.
Founded over 65 years ago, the next generation of television journalists will now have the opportunity to work in Nine’s newsroom, with 9News today announcing the launch of the TV News Internship.
The three-month program is designed to discover the next generation of television journalists and producers, covering all aspects of TV News from news-gathering to writing, editing and production. The program entails working across all 9News bulletins, including news on Today.
Importantly, this is a paid internship.
Sydney news director Simon Hobbs says: “This is a golden opportunity to work in the biggest newsroom in the southern hemisphere, with hands-on learning from the best in the business. The successful candidate will have potential for long-term employment with Nine.”
Applications close October 1. Those interested can apply here.
