IPG Mediabrands Australia CEO Mark Coad has announced the appointment of Nick Durrant as managing director of MAGNA, the group’s media intelligence and investment division.
Durrant has been general manager of investment at MAGNA since February last year and takes the managing director role after leading many primary decisions in clients’ media investments in a turbulent 2020.
“Nick and the senior team at MAGNA have been a leading light for Mediabrands in navigating the most extraordinary year in the history of media,” said Coad. “We recall the immense uncertainties as we were drawn into the COVID crisis and MAGNA is a big reason we have navigated our way confidently through the twists and turns.
“Nick will be an effective leader for MAGNA in collaboration with the skills sets within the group and our client and investment leaders across Mediabrands. He will also be joining the Mediabrands’ executive leadership team,” said Coad.
Prior to MAGNA, Durrant was chief partnerships and investments officer at Initiative and before joining Initiative in 2017 he was national general manager of Trading at News Corp.
