News Corp Australia’s managing director of digital revenue, Cameron King, will leave the company after deciding to pursue new career opportunities.
King said his decision to leave News was difficult but after 10 years with the company, it was time to find a new challenge.
“It’s the right time for me to look at opportunities beyond News,” King said. “I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved and know that I leave the business in great shape.
“I wish the team continued success for the future.”
News Corp Australia’s chief operating officer of publishing, Damian Eales, said King had been a great contributor and leaves with the company’s best wishes.
“Cam’s leadership has had a significant impact on our digital operations,” Eales said. “I understand and respect his decision to seek opportunities beyond News and wish him well for the future.”
Since joining News in 2008, King has played a key role in developing News’ digital advertising business, leading its commercial strategy, advertiser product offering, and sales enablement.
Under his leadership, the company’s digital transformation has been significant. King’s also led the organisation’s market leading audience segmentation and targeting platform, News Connect.
King will also resign from his position as chair of the IAB Australia board.
