News Corp Appoints Head Of Commercial Innovation

News Corp Australia has announced the appointment of Nic Hodges to head of commercial innovation.

In this newly created position, Hodges will apply his extensive experience to drive commercial innovation and foster thought leadership with News Corp Australia clients.

News Corp’s national sales director Sharb Farjami said: “Nic is a seasoned talent who has a clear understanding of advertisers’ needs and a demonstrated capability to develop solutions for them.

“Nic’s impressive background ensures he is well placed to lead our efforts to create compelling communication strategies for our clients that meaningfully grow their businesses.”

Hodges said: “There’s never been a more exciting time to be in a media company. The landscape is changing daily, with new technology and new behaviours creating massive opportunities. It’s great to be joining a team that understands the landscape, and is looking to lead the business and its clients into the future. I’m really looking forward to being part of it.”

Prior to joining News Corp Australia, Mr Hodges was head of innovation and technology for MediaCom. Previous roles include digital creative director at Clemenger BBDO, and technical director at M&C Saatchi

Hodges starts his new role in June.
