New Zealand comedy sketch show, Funny Girls, has set its sights on hyper-masculine car advertising in its latest skit.
In the mock TV commercial comedian Rose Matafeo drives a Holden ute. As rock music plays, a burly bloke voiceover is heard describing the truck as ‘the ultimate workhouse’. As the car pulls over and a woman steps out: “With a powerful 2.8 litre Duramax diesel engine, it’s built tough, just like y… woah, what the f**k! Sorry love, just didn’t expect to see a woman.”
