GOxplore is a new breed of travel magazine set to launch in Melbourne and Sydney to 800,000 homes in July. The free 48-page fortnightly magazine is independently distributed to homes with highest travel spend.
Bespoke content, written by former Fairfax journalist Mary O’Brien and her team of top notch travel writers, showcases international, regional and local travel stories and traveller information.
While overall content will be travel-focused, the scope of both editorial and advertising will cover a variety of life-style related topics, including food and wine, culture and contemporary style.
GOxplore launches with the support of some of the travel and adventure industry’s most respected names and brands, including Australia Pacific Touring, The Intrepid Group & Anaconda Adventure Stores.
Each issue will present readers with a unique opportunity to win holidays or other travel accessories and gift vouchers, encouraging them to share their adventures for the chance to win.
Capitalising on its deep knowledge of targeted magazine delivery, GOxplore will also support advertising content through targeted social media campaigns hitting consumers across multiple channels including: Facebook and Instagram. This will ensure consistent content is delivered to a wider audience both on and off line.
From this, GOxplore will develop a library of User Generated Content, designed to showcase real people ‘exploring’.
Editor, Mary O’Brien, said, “Australia is a nation of travellers. GOxplore is an exciting new way to get quality new travel content directly into the hands of hundreds of thousands of readers who want it.”
National advertising director, Chris Jefferson Jnr, added, “GOxplore will be in 800,000 mailboxes across Australia from day one. It will be one of the largest circulation magazines in Australia. It’s going to shake up the publishing and travel industries.”
