Network 10 And TAB Become Exclusive

Network 10 and TAB have announced a partnership that will see Australia’s leading wagering operator become the exclusive wagering partner for Network 10’s Melbourne Cup Carnival broadcast and digital coverage.

As part of the agreement, TAB’s Gerard Middleton (featured image, left) will be involved in the network’s four-day live broadcast of the world-class carnival including Lexus Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, 5 November.

As a respected and trusted TAB spokesperson, Middleton will provide the latest market updates to viewers.

The partnership also includes commercial advertising in metro markets.

Network 10’s national sales director Lisa Squillace said: “We’re really excited to be partnering with TAB for our Melbourne Cup Carnival coverage, our first commercial partner for the iconic event.

“They have a rich history with the event and with the Victoria Racing Club, one that dates back almost 60 years.

“Partnering with TAB couples our coverage with expert wagering insight and analysis.

“The Melbourne Cup Carnival forms part of our massive Q4 sport line-up and it’s great to see positive momentum of this line-up building in market.”

Tabcorp managing director wagering and media, Adam Rytenskild said TAB is a natural fit as Network 10’s wagering partner of choice.

Rytenskild said: “Placing a bet with TAB on Lexus Melbourne Cup Day is an Australian tradition and we’re delighted the Network 10 broadcast will help connect Australians with TAB right throughout the Melbourne Cup Carnival.”

“We value strong partnerships and TAB’s relationship with the Victoria Racing Club dates back to 1961.

“We look forward to working closely with the Club and Network 10 throughout the 2019 Carnival.”
