Near Makes Two New Local Hires

Near has expanded its Australian and New Zealand team as it continues to grow and streamline its data offering for marketers, publishers, and enterprises.

The company boasts of working with global brands like News Corp, Mastercard, and Singapore Press Holdings, who leverage Near’s offerings to build relevant audience segments, target them at a particular moment, and measure the success of the campaign in a privacy-compliant environment. The new roles will continue to drive momentum for the business and also establish a leadership structure designed to further scale Near’s presence in the region.

Christian Clark, who brings with him over a decade of experience in delivering innovative digital marketing solutions, joins Near as the country manager for Allspark and will drive solutions for Marketers focussed on Australia and New Zealand. Christian comes with an extensive background in working with brands and agencies to develop intuitive and disruptive advertising solutions at Nine and CarAdvice.com.

“Near already has some big partnerships in the country and I’m thrilled to be part of a company that is focussed on finding innovative ways to drive business value for its customers. The leadership at Near has a sense of purpose and passion which resonated well with me and I’m looking forward to being part of their growth journey,” said Clark.

Further, Adam Boekeman joins the team as the country manager for CARBON and will drive solutions for Enterprise businesses. Adam has spent the last decade working in enterprise software with a sharp focus on helping businesses execute digital transformation. Adam has worked with some of the most innovative companies in the market to help them leverage data and technology to create a competitive advantage.

“Near has a clear vision and amazing talent to back it. The innovative thinking that the Near team brings to the product and to the customers has enabled our success to date, I am excited to be a part of the next phase of growth,” said Adam Boekeman, Country Manager – CARBON.

Launched in 2014 in the market, Near currently offers two solutions for Australia and New Zealand:

  • Near allows publishers and brands to leverage real-world intelligence based on human mobility, and enrich their first-party customer data for meaningful insights, segmentation, and engagement.
  • Near’s AI-powered data intelligence platform Allspark helps brands to activate custom audiences based on their real-world activities across the web and in-store in real-time. With multiple integrations, marketers can choose on what screen they want to deliver a message, when and through which activation partner. Brands can also measure the success and ROI of their online campaigns on in-store visits. The company recently partnered with Big allowing brands to access and activate audiences, creative and contextual media through an integrated platform called Buddy.

“Australia has always been a key growth market for us and we want to double down our operations here. Near is committed to giving customers access to better, actionable intelligence to augment their current capabilities. We are excited to have the new team on board and are confident that we will deliver an enhanced customer experience and build more partnerships in the market,” said Near chief revenue office and co-founder Shobhit Shukla.
