The Music Network Removes Paywall, Launches New-Look Platform

Ahead of its 24th birthday next month, trade publication The Music Network (TMN) has announced it has removed its paywall as part of an overhaul of the online platform.
In 2013, TMN ceased its print edition in favour of a subscription-based website. Now, it has turned off that paywall, with all content and proprietary airplay charts now accessible for everyone.
TMN has also unveiled a new website and historical charts portal, designed and built by the technology team at Jaden Social.
TMN was founded in 1994 by famed artist manager John Woodruff (Savage Garden, The Angels, Baby Animals) and was acquired by digital agency Jaden Social in 2017.
Jake Challenor, CEO and publisher at Jaden Social, said TMN’s core business – a premium charts service for record labels and the MusicDaily newsletter – will remain untouched.
“Our future beyond the paywall is in content and event partnerships, industry awards, podcasts, and a yet-to-be-announced custom research and reporting product for the music industry,” he said.
