Recently Departed Mumbrella Editor Resurfaces

Recently redundant editor of media site Mumbrella, Vivienne Kelly, has quickly found re-employment, today being announced as Take 2 Media’s editor of its websites The Music Network and Radio Today.

Kelly was made redundant from her position 10 days ago in what Mumbrella owners – the US-based events company Diversified Communications – called a “restructure” to “bring journalists together into a single team”.

In announcing Kelly’s recruitment, Take 2’s publisher and content director Jake Challenor said: “Her appointment is a real coup for us and an even bigger win for our valued readers and commercial partners in the music and media business. She joins at a challenging time for both sectors – our audience needs quality journalism more than ever right now.”

Kelly added she was excited to spend more time covering the radio and audio industry and can’t wait to meet everyone in the music industry.

“Radio and audio have always been my passion. I am so excited to be able to give it my full attention and fully immerse myself in the industry I care so much about,” she said.

“Radio, like me, is vulnerable, transparent, tells real stories and connects with people in a real and passionate way. I’m looking forward to elevating this publication more as the industry transforms and emerges from this period of turmoil.

“And what could be better than the pairing of radio and music? I can’t wait to help bring more stories, hope, inspiration and change to The Music Network.

“It might be a challenging time for both sectors, but there are stories to tell, people changing the game, and businesses surviving in the face of it all. I’ll be there for all of it,” Kelly said.
