outdoor drive-in cinema, Mov’in Car is returning to Sydney in late October for its second year, and Val Morgan has partnership opportunities open for brands and advertisers to reach highly engaged audiences.
Located in the heart of Sydney on the carpark rooftop of the iconic entertainment, dining and leisure precinct, Entertainment Quarter (EQ), audiences can catch a film with sweeping scenic views of Sydney’s CBD skyline,
Sydney Cricket Ground, and the luscious Centennial Park, from 28th October – 2nd December 2021.
This year, Mov’in Car is running for five weeks with a suite of blockbuster titles and classics hitting the big screen 6 nights of the week. Adding to the nostalgic drive-in set-up, audiences have the chance to step back in time with a retro 1950s themed dining experience available to enjoy from the comfort of their own vehicle.
Partner Val Morgan has on-screen opportunities and the ultimate presenting partner package available, giving brands the chance to fully integrate with Mov’in Car across the big screen, social and digital touchpoints.
Brands also have the opportunity to extend their partnership and execute sampling and other larger activations to drive maximum impact and engagement, boosting overall campaign results.
Vincent Hernandez, founder and managing director from Mov’in Car, said: “We’re thrilled to bring back Mov’in Car for the second year and to give people the opportunity to immerse themselves in this nostalgic cinematic experience under the sunset and stars.
“We know people are looking to spend quality time with their loved ones in safe environments, especially as we come out of a 15-week lockdown, and Mov’in Car is the ultimate COVIDSafe activity to partake in the comfort of your own vehicle.
“Not only does Mov’in Car have a strict COVIDSafe plan in place, but the added safety level of being in your own vehicle is something you can’t beat.
“This year we’ll kick off the Sydney season with ShangChi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and with a Halloween weekend of horror with 30 sessions in total lined up over 5 weeks.
“There will be something for everyone for everyone to enjoy, with a mix of popular classics and epic new films on the program this Spring.”
Guy Burbidge, managing director of Val Morgan, said: “Across the last 18 months, we have seen huge demand from audiences for these types of unique experiences as in-home media fatigue has well and truly set in.
“This Mov’in Car season promises to be a fantastic, unique experience and builds on what we believe will be the summer of experiences. Audiences are craving to get back out to normal cultural activities and cinema plays a pivotal role in that behaviour.
“In the past season, brands have seen really positive results when activating with Mov’in Car, and we know this 2021 season will be just as strong.”
